What is trash the dress?
A trash the dress session is about creation, not destruction. It is a contrast of elegant clothing with an environment in which it is completely out of place. Generally shot in a glossy beauty/glamour photography style, trash the dress sessions are the newest trend in wedding and senior photography!
Usually brides or seniors decide to have photos taken at the beach, but the possibilities are endless. City streets, rooftops, fields and abandoned buildings are only a few examples of trash the dress session locations.
Why should you have a trash the dress session?
Why? Why the heck not!? You’ve already made a commitment to your husband. If he’s your one and only true love, then why would you ever need the dress again? And no, your daughter probably won’t want to wear it in 20-30 years either. So… you have two choices:
1. Suffocate it in plastic and throw it in a closet
2. Show your husband how committed you are by trashing the dress, and creating some amazing images while having a ton of fun doing it!
